At the end of the summer term 2003, we decided to break with tradition and not hold the usual end of year concert. This time, although we had a concert, it was much shorter than usual, and finished at 11am. This gave us plenty of time to have some fun afterwards - and possibly to raise a bit of cash towards equipment. There was a wonderful cake stall, tombola - and a chocolate tombola - guess the advert, trap the rat, bobbing for apples, a treasure hunt, a "guess how many smarties a cornet can hold" competition, CDs of most of the groups performing were on sale, and much more. Whilst all this was happening, various Centre music groups were playing informally around the site. It was a wonderful day, and luckily the sun shone for us. When the "adding up" had finished after all the stalls had been put away, we were amazed at how much money had been raised. After expenses had been deducted, we had raised just over |

This was far more than we ever dared hope, and has enabled us to purchase the Clavinova we have wanted for so long! We hope to have it ready to go next term. Here are a few pictures of the event..........
